Ever wonder what you and your partner will look like at 90?

July 16, 2015cyberviseUncategorized

Have you seen the new video from the “100 Years of Beauty” team? It portrays a couple in their 20s, one month prior to marriage. And with prosthetics, costuming and makeup, the makers show the couple what they will potentially look like as they progress into their 50s, 70s, and 90s.

You might want to get the tissue box ready:

Lessons learned from a long-term perspective.

In our decades as an insurance agency, we have been witness to our clients growing and changing over the years, following them through births, marriages, retirement and end-of-life care. We’re fortunate to have this unique perspective and to have had the opportunity to serve many families over multiple generations.

I love getting to know all my clients, but have always adored working with older adults in particular. That’s one of the reasons I chose to specialize in Medicare plans. Every person I meet has a story to tell. Learning each of my clients’ stories brings richness to my life and makes me better able to serve their needs.
From my clients, I’ve learned to ensure that I surround myself with family and people I love, to take the time to make memories and to always focus my effort on doing things I will feel proud of later.

They’ve also imparted to me a lot of unspoken lessons. Take preventative health care, for example.
The fight for the cure starts with proper prevention.
Maintaining your health when you’re young is more important than ANY of us realize. By the time one is diagnosed with serious condition like congestive heart failure, chronic kidney disease, certain cancers, or emphysema, the window for taking steps to reverse the damage has closed. At that point, the focus switches from “cure” to “adapt.”
We all know that we need to eat right and exercise. But there’s more to it than that — little things like wearing sunscreen, brushing your teeth, getting regular checkups and taking care of nagging problems before they progress into BIG problems.
We only get one body. Despite all our medical prowess, there’s no substitute for taking care of our original parts. Fortunately, many of these issues can be addressed through solid insurance planning.
Are all of your family’s health care needs covered?

You know you need health insurance. But you also need dental and vision. You need accidental injury and long-term disability coverage.
And despite your best efforts, age WILL eventually catch up with you. It catches up with all of us. You need to have coverage that will enable you to enjoy excellent senior living care, over and above the just-the-basics nursing home coverage afforded you through Medicare and Medicaid.
And perhaps most important of all, you need to protect your family’s financial future through a well-funded life insurance policy.

Aging is beautiful. And it’s inevitable. With careful planning and proper coverage, you and your loved ones can enjoy it together, every step of the way.
